Disciplinary Panel Finds Councillor ‘Brought Office Into Disrepute’

Published by on Friday, 5 December 2008One Comment

A disciplinary panel consisting of two independent members and one councillor found that Councillor Geoffrey Theobald, who last month parked his Jag in a disabled bay as he was late for a meeting, had breached the members’ code of ethics, but no action would be brought against him. When a “normal” member of the public does such a thing, they at least get a fine, don’t they?

Well, no surprises there then, I contacted this ex fellow school pupil, many weeks ago, sadly, I have not to date, even had the courtesy of an acknowledgement.

Clearly, the teachers at the school who instilled in me, the importance of common courtesy and humility, were working from a different curriculum for this person. Arrogance or ignorance maybe?.
